Apps are set to overtake branch visits in the next few years. There were about 5.5 billion log-ins to banking apps in 2017 which is a 13% rise on 2016.

It has also been predicted that 72% (35 million) of the UK adults will bank via a phone app by 2023.

What I do in Digital, Marketing and Finance

I have worked in Digital and Marketing within the financial services industry for the past 10 years.  I believe digital marketing should be measured by acquisition, conversion and retention. I don’t believe in just driving unnecessary metrics or delivering projects of little value. Over the years i have developed customer acquisition channels, increased conversion rates throughout the customer journey and developed strategies to retain existing customers.

Analysing current marketing activities, customer journey and data insights is the crucial first step. Once I build an understanding of the current situation I then move onto a strategic development stage. Only after developing a strategic plan for the desired results will I consider tactical solutions such as website redesign, paid and social media, content marketing, SEO and conversion rate optimisation.
